Houston Elite
opened up its first exhibition season with a win over Jacksonville
State in Jacksonville, Alabama on Friday. Elite took an early lead
on a 3-pointer by Debra Williams (La Tech 96') and never look back.
Elite lead by as much as 17 points in the first half. Jacksonville
State made an 8-0 run at the beginning of the second half, but Elite
never lost control of the game and held on for a 76-64 victory.
Houston Elite was lead by Debra Williams (18), Andi Jackson (UH) 16,
and Keisha Lewis (La Tech) who had a double double (12 points and 13
rebounds). Houston Elite will travel to Edinburg, TX on Friday to
take on University of Texas Pan-American.
