Congratulations to our Houston Elite Black 8th grade team. They came in 1st place in 2011 Spring Shoot- up Red Division. On Saturday the Houston Elite Black defeated the Absolute Basketball team by 31 points, Darby Pugh being the high scorer with 13 points. On their 2nd game verse the Hydrid, the Houston Elite Black played very hard as a team. They were determined to stay in the game being focused and playing hard offensive and defense. Samantha Stolz scored the highest points at 24, which included three 3 point shots, with the help of her team mates J’Keya Garret, Courtney Stepanski and Jasmine Syes hitting some 3 point shots as well. Again, our post hit the boards strong, with a lot of awesome rebounds by Marissa Anderson, Jessica Haelen and J’Keya Garrett.
